What We're About

Childhood obesity is a growing problem around the globe. Many children learn unhealthy eating habits and carry these with them into adulthood, putting them at risk for a variety of serious health problems. A significant source of childhood obesity is undoubtedly the Coney Dog- a high calorie, high fat "food" that consists of a hotdog topped with chili, mustard, and onions. Given the link between Coney dogs and childhood obesity, STOP CONEY 2012 is a campaign that aims to make the Coney famous, not to celebrate it, but to raise support for the banning of this "food" and set a precedent for the outlawing of other high-calorie items. With concerted effort and public support, we can have the Coney banned worldwide by 2012. Remember, awareness is just the first step.

Mission Statement: STOP CONEY 2012! is dedicated to combating childhood obesity by ending the production and consumption of Coney Dogs worldwide.
